SHARE YOUR IDEA TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF OUR COMMUNITY!
For the fourth year in a row, Healthier Jupiter will offer Grants to impact the health of our community. The goal of the Grant program is to engage the greater Jupiter community in creating innovative approaches to healthy living and chronic disease prevention. We talked with not-for-profits, civic organizations, churches, schools, temples and individuals with programs aligned with Healthier Jupiter’s mission and goals to encourage them to submit proposals. Funds available will pilot ideas to improve our collective community health in one or more focus areas:
Increase availability and affordability of fresh, healthy foods;
Help individuals become more physically active on a regular basis;
Encourage people to engage mentally and physically to practice healthy behaviors; and/or
Support changes in the built environment and community policies that promote equitable opportunities for healthy living.
Join us for our Healthy Community BBQ, on October 12th from 1:00PM to 3:30PM at the Jupiter Community Center, at which the 12 Healthier Jupiter Mini-Grant semi-finalists will share their proposed projects and the community will vote for those 8 projects they wish to see funded.
