Mini-Grants

SHARE YOUR IDEA TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF OUR COMMUNITY!

For the fourth year in a row, Healthier Jupiter will offer Grants to impact the health of our community. The goal of the Grant program is to engage the greater Jupiter community in creating innovative approaches to healthy living and chronic disease prevention. Funds available through mini-grants will allow schools, churches, temples, civic organizations and not-for-profits to obtain funds to pilot ideas that will improve our collective community health in one or more focus areas:

  1. Increase availability and affordability of fresh, healthy foods;

  2. Help individuals become more physically active on a regular basis;

  3. Encourage people to engage mentally and physically to practice healthy behaviors; and/or

  4. Support changes in the built environment and community policies that promote equitable opportunities for healthy living.

We encourage all not-for-profits and civic organizations with programs aligned with Healthier Jupiter’s mission and goals to submit proposals. If you are a community member (not affiliated with a not-for-profit) with a grant proposal, you must partner with a not-for-profit/civic organization. We will have a Healthy Community BBQ in October, at which organizations will share their proposed projects and the community will vote for those projects they wish to see funded.

More about the Healthier Jupiter Community BBQ… This event is free and open to the public with a healthy BBQ. We encourage you to spread the word to your community members, clients, volunteers, friends, family and invite them to come out to support your project and other projects in the community. This is a great opportunity for community members to learn more about the Jupiter community and our amazing hard-working organizations. It is an extremely valuable experience for organizations to showcase their work to engaged community members and to network with other local nonprofits, agencies and community leaders.
